Celebrating 50 years of supplying McDonald’s
This year, Smith Anderson marked an important milestone: 50 years as a McDonald’s supplier.
Smith Anderson marked an important milestone this year, 50 years as a McDonald’s supplier! The relationship began in the summer of 1975 when McDonald’s opened their 2nd restaurant in the UK in Seven Sisters Road, London. Smith Anderson signed a contract to become a UK supplier and 50 years later we’re now proud to supply over 1.4bn bags per year globally to the McDonald’s system.
To mark the occasion we had the pleasure of hosting the McDonald’s team, franchisees and TMS for a festive dinner in Edinburgh followed by a day spent at our Kirkcaldy site in November. During the visit we were able to present our plans for future growth and our innovation pipeline. We are committed to supporting the growth of the business in the immediate future…..and for the next 50 years!
We finished off the week of celebrations by launching our very 1st Christmas video ‘The Bag That Saved Christmas’.
